MPs Vote Against Compulsory Sex Education In Schools

Conservative MPs have voted to block plans for sex and relationship education (SRE) to be made compulsory in schools.

Government guidance on Sexual Education currently allows free schools & academies to opt out of teaching the subject in class. As the law stands, state schools are obligated to cover sex education from a biological aspect, but no British schools are required to teach pupils about the social or emotional aspects of sex, or make classes LGBT inclusive.

This obviously leaves a LOT up to the parents. How does EVERY parent approach the subjects of sex and relationships, same-sex relationships, sexual consent, sexual violence and domestic violence in the right way and without help from schools? These are ALL important topics which are growing more concerning as time goes by, and at a younger age for children!

The rejected amendment comes amid fresh criticism from charity campaigners, who claim present teachings are seriously out-dated for the “smartphone generation” of children who are exposed to the internet and influenced by social media.

SRE guidance for schools has not been updated in close to 17 years – making the current legislation older than the majority of pupils learning about the subject.

We at GiftCondom.com that this is abysmal from the current Government. How can children learn more about extremely important and sensitive topics from Twitter and Facebook, than their own schools?! There is some serious misguidance at play here and TOO MUCH is left down to parents.

Women’s Contraception Under Threat

The ways in which women are being negatively affected by austerity has today been bolstered. This time, reproductive health is on the menu for the Government.

According to research by the Advisory Group on Contraception, GPs in England have stopped giving out and providing contraceptive methods.

IUDs, IUS, the more well-known contraceptive injection AND implant are no longer being provided or are at risk of being removed by ONE in THREE councils across the country. What worries us most at GiftCondom, is that a quarter of councils have already shut some of their contraceptive services!

What it boils down to is the lack of funding for public health budgets of local councils. If the current Government won’t change their standing with the £200m cut from the budget, more and more women will not have the ability to protect themselves from falling pregnant.

First sanitary towels, and now this? Contraception is an INVESTMENT, not a LUXURY! – GiftCondom.com

The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), has also said that a third of women live in areas where contraceptive services are restricted.

We think this is appalling, and it is only going to bring about a rise in unplanned pregnancies and abortions, which many young women could live without, as well as more costs for the government in the long run! There is one way around this issue, though… USE CONDOMS!

This is why we exist at GiftCondom.com Send a discreet package of condoms to your children, nieces or nephews in secret so you know they’re safe!

Top 5: STDs In Hip-Hop

Sex and hip-hop have gone together hand-in-hand since the early 90s. From the famous Biggie Smalls and Lil Kim interlude to 2pac with Temptations, and then the holy grail, Khia – My Neck, My Back, rappers have always coupled their lavish lifestyle raps with an endless amount of sex. But has there ever been any real mention of STDs within the genre? Well, we did some research…

1) Nas – Remember The Times

This track has the best beat on it out of any of these 5. It’s heartfelt stuff from Nasir Jones, who talks about his first love and sex. He starts to reference STDs at the 1:08 mark, rapping “Was only scared of them STDs, syphilis, VD and herpes, Daffy Duck-lookin’ bitch burnt me, correction, Urinary tract infection, what I got for no protection” Nas-ty.

2) Eminem – Drips (ft. Obie Trice)

Now, from one of the best rappers alive and Obie Trice, we essentially have a song aimed at men, and how ‘they’re getting sick’. Obie starts off with an intense story to Denise, from the cleaners, whom he did the deed with unprotected. The chorus chimes in after with Em singing “These b*tches on my dick, That’s how dude’s be getting sick, that’s how dicks be getting drips” Grim Slim Shady, very grim.

3) Look Who’s Burnin’ – Ice Cube

Ice Cube made this awesome 90’s hit in the early part of the decade and a close look at the lyrics shows that it’s really about something burning…down there. It’s about a girl Ice Cube was hooking up with, but then she hooked up with a college student and became “Miss Gonorrhea.” If only she had wrapped it up with a condom she could have avoided this pageant title!

4) Wu-Tang Clan – Maria

Off the classic album Wu-Tang Forever from ’97. The song has a heavily featured Ol’ Dirty Bastard kicking things off with a straight to the point bar about catching Gonnorhea. RZA comes in with probably the best line in the song, “Suicidal, she been in more hotels than bibles”. Heavy stuff from the Clan.

5) Cam’ron – On Fire Tonight

Cam’ron jumps us straight into the action on this one with a phone call to the girl that had ‘burned him’. They have a real slanging match and then the music starts at 1:05. Favourite line: “Where’s the psychological sense in that player? You need to wash ya face!”

So, there you have it, the GiftCondom.com STD Playlist! Listening to these tracks before a night out is is a sure fire way to make sure you keep it wrapped. Why not share this article with someone who’d actually listen to rappers perils and take heed than maybe from yourself? If you find that too awkward, why not send them an anonymous delivery of condoms to give you that extra peace of mind! Send a care package now at GiftCondom.com

**BONUS SONG: Cotton Eyed Joe**

This is certainly not hip-hop but a party favourite all the same, especially at family events like weddings and retirement parties. Basically, anything that has a DJ will have this song played at it. So, you’ll probably be disappointed to know that these lyrics are actually speaking about a guy who is getting his dick swabbed for an STD. Now it makes sense why the singer would have “been married long time ago” if it wasn’t for old cotton eyed Joe.

Extreme Grooming Quadruples Risk of STIs

Now, for the shaven havens among us this may come as some shocking news, so brace yourselves if you’re a keen trimmer, waxer or indeed shaver!

A US Study of near on 8,000 people between teens and OAPs, waxing, trimming or shaving our private parts actually QUADRUPLES the risk of picking up an STD!

Some groomers classed as ‘Extreme’, who shaved, waxed or trimmed at least ONCE a month were FOUR TIMES more likely to have picked up an infection!

Any type of grooming at all was associated with an 80% (EIGHTY) heightened risk of having an STI than no grooming at all!

The research suggests grooming may cause tiny skin tears, through which bacteria and viruses can easily pass.

It seems the hairy, neanderthals among us have been doing it right all along! I seriously hope this doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing some extra bush down the beach!

Put a stop to all the problems and take away the risk of shaving too close by USING A CONDOM. Send someone a care package today at our LOW price of £6 or £9 – GiftCondom.com

Top 5 Condom Myths BUSTED

Each and every one of us has our own opinions on condoms. However you feel, they do put a stop to numerous problems we could all live without. There are some common misconceptions which that we are here to BUST. From the downright ludicrous to the absolute crazy, here’s numbers 1 to 5:

Pull Out Game Strong!
So, how many babies do we think are created because the guy promises he’d pull out in time? I’m hazarding a guess at hundreds of thousands. The fact is, before climaxing, a guy will pre-ejaculate, inseminating his female counterpart, and THEN ‘pull-out’. Pre-cum, as it has been fondly coined, is still able to get a girl pregnant! As Planned Parenthood says, a male who does not carry out withdrawal properly increases the chances of the woman becoming pregnant by 27%!

“I can’t feel anything with that thing on!”
This is perhaps the biggest lie told before sex by a man on one night stands. It is really something that with just a thin layer of latex, a penis becomes completely numb. Granted, it may take away a small amount of feeling, but the way some men go on about it being like “picking your nose with a glove on” is RIDICULOUS.

Double-wrapping
Not only is double-wrapping a total waste of condoms, but it can create friction between the two and eventually lead to hidden tears and a leakage of juices! A single condom is your best bet for protecting yourself from the dangers unprotected sex may bring.

‘I’m the girl, why should I have one?’
PET PEEVE ALERT. Just because girls do not own a penis, it does not mean they should not empower themselves! The best form of protection for intercourse for both genders is without a doubt condoms. So, why should it be a man’s job to carry them?! While we’re here, there is no reason for girls to be ’slut-shamed’ over preparing for sex in the right away either!

‘I always break them’ – Jimmy (5ft 3”, size 5 feet)
Oh boy, oh boy. Condoms come in all shapes and sizes and actually stretch in order to wrap around larger members of the penis fam. Now, I’m not saying condoms are unbreakable, because they certainly are, but come on… it really is hard to do so! Unless Shaquille Oneil is making this claim, I’d certainly not trust that person and ask why they don’t buy XL condoms if there was an issue.

So there we have it, five myths well and truly debunked. Remember, you can share the love and protect someone TODAY by visiting GiftCondom.com
